Fluoride is a drug. On your toothpaste, it says don’t consume and to contact fatal control if a pea size amount is ingest. That is the same amount of fluoride found in an 8 oz glass of water. On top of that, fluoride is not all that helpful when swallowed. According to the CDC, it is only useful when applied topically, connotation in a straight line to the teeth.
(1). Stop using/ingesting fluoridated tap water. Stop drinking it, stop making ice cubes and washing make with it and stop cooking with it.
(2). Buy bottled spring water. You can buy overturn osmosis water from a water store, which has no minerals. Whichever brand of spring water you drink, call the number on the bottle and ask how much fluoride is in their water. You should only drink spring water with under 0.1 ppm (fluoridated tap water has on least 1 ppm) (some spring water, such as “Trinity Springs” apparently contains about 4 ppm) which is why you need to call and find out if your coil water is actually worth paying for.
(3). Filter. Cheap filters can help remove chlorine, but if you want to make sure you are getting rid of other raw materials heavy metals and fluoride, you might want to invest in one of the more expensive filters that can go into your sink ranging as of 200-400. When choosing a filter, you want one that can remove FLOURIDE, minerals, THMs and nitrates. Be sure to get a filter that is NSF-certified (a non-profit testing agency). The filter should either work by reverse-osmosis or active alumina
(4). Move. This may seem like an extreme solution, but if you have the option, not all cities have fluoridated water and Europe’s water supply is 97% fluoride Free. If you live in an area with fluoride free water, take advantage of it and only buy locally grown and raised produce and meat that hasn’t been contaminated with Fluoride.
(5). Use all natural toothpaste from the health food store such as Toms of Maine. It is particularly important for children to use fluoride free toothpaste since they are more likely to swallow some while combing their teeth.
(6). Never use fluoridated water when mixing baby formula. Too much fluoride accumulated in the body can root dental fluorosis, and according to the CDC 1/3 of the kids in the US now suffer from this condition.
(7). Educate yourself regarding the history and science of fluoride and fluoridation and come to a decision what is best for you and your family.
